Norlite Shale Donation Supports Mission of Community Foundation

Norlite is proud to support the work of Eden’s Rose Foundation of Albany, whose mission of “inciting change, inspiring hope, empowering sustainability” is very much aligned with the environmentally beneficial products and services — as well as the career opportunities — that Norlite provides.

We donated 99 tons of raw quarried shale fines, which is ideal for surface parking, bike and walking trails and foot paths, which is how the Eden’s Rose Foundation is using it for its community garden at the corner of First and Quail streets in Albany.

We’re pleased to support the work of organizations like the Eden Rose Foundation that focus on community wellbeing. If you know of any nonprofits in the Capital Region that could use our shale fines to support their mission, please send an email to David Maguffin, our plant manager, at David.Maguffin@Tradebe.com.
