Did you know?

There is one day out of the year called Earth Overshoot Day. This is the day when humanity’s demand for natural resources exceeds the resources Earth can regenerate within that year.

Every year, Earth’s overshoot day comes sooner than the previous year due to our increased demand for resources.

Humans consume more and more of Earth's resources and use them up so quickly, that there is no time to replenish them for the next year!

School Drawing Contest

We should all do our part to protect the environment and raise awareness about climate change and limited resources. We are thrilled to start this competition for our students to allow them to show off their drawing abilities and ideas on how they contribute to protecting the Earth.

Why THIS CAUSE MATTERS?

Raising awareness about protecting the Earth by building sustainable habits and reducing waste is a mission that Norlite supports for our community here in Cohoes. We know that our students are the future of what happens in our world, and encourage them to be conscientious now so that they can make sustainable choices in the future. What they learn today will impact their tomorrow.

At Norlite, we contribute to the efforts for protecting the Earth by avoiding the use of coal in our daily operations and recovering energy from waste, benefiting current and future generations
